The ACCSAP Adult Clinical Cardiology Self-Assessment Program

An experienced cardiologist, Dr. Christopher Defilippi works at Inova Heart and Vascular Institute in Fairfax, Virginia, as the vice chair of academic affairs. Dr. Christopher Defilippi is often invited to speak at national meetings of the American College of Cardiology, of which he is a member.

With a mission to improve cardiovascular care and heart health, the American College of Cardiology is involved in related education, research, health care and policy. In terms of education, the American College of Cardiology as a professional association supports students preparing to enter the cardiovascular health care field by publishing various resources online and in print. To help individuals prepare for the cardiovascular part of the American Board of Internal Medicine exam, the organization offers an Adult Clinical Cardiology Self-Assessment Program (ACCSAP).

The ACCSAP is a self-study tool that enables individuals to identify areas of weakness in their knowledge of cardiovascular medicine. Additionally, the program offers up to 155 credits, which can meet years of certification requirements. The tool also includes expert advice, a simulated Board exam, and practice questions that can be retaken as often as needed.
